NCBM President Mayor George L. Grace

ncbm-president-george-grace-photoThe Honorable George L. Grace, Sr. was reelected to his fourth term as mayor of St. Gabriel, Louisiana in 2007.  He has served as the mayor of the city since its incorporation in 1994. 

He was formerly the State Vocational Director and a Teacher/Coach. Mayor Grace has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, La.  

Mayor Grace previously served as president of the National Conference of Black Mayors, Inc. from 2007-2008, as well as Chair of the International Affairs Committee, which afforded him the opportunity to travel abroad to various countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Libya, Haiti, and Colombia, Central America.

His present affiliations include the Iberville Parish Strategic Planning Committee, Louisiana Municipal Association, St. Gabriel Kiwanis Club, Louisiana Chapter of the National Conference of Black Mayors, past chairman of the Louisiana Community Development Authority (LCDA) and member of the Iberville Municipal Association.  Mayor Grace is currently featured in The Heritage Registry of Who’s Who, 2008-2009 Edition.
