African American Healthy Marriage Initiative
The US Department of Health and Human Services launched its African American Healthy Marriage Initiative through its Administration for Children and Families. The AAHMI will fund the implementation of its program in five (5) NCBM State Chapters. The Initiative promotes a culturally competent strategy for fostering healthy marriage and responsible fatherhood, improving child well-being and strengthening families within the African American community. Research demonstrates the strong correlations between family structure and well-being.
