Broadband for America

slide11The National Conference of Black Mayors has been selected to receive a seed grant of $25,000 from Broadband for America.  By receiving the seed capital, NCBM is then qualified to apply for the second round of funding, which would potentially fund at $500-$2million.  Broadband for America aims to make broadband access to the Internet available to every household in the nation; to provide data transfer speeds to make that broadband experience valuable to users; and to provide the bandwidth necessary for content providers to continue to make the Internet a cultural, societal and economic engine for growth
