Green The City Initiative

slide1The Green The City Initiative aims to assist African American Mayors in putting their cities on a path to long-term economic and environmental sustainability through the development and implementation of a green city plan. The goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of American cities while making them healthier and more sustainable for city residents. This multi-faceted campaign provides Mayors and their staff with training and technical support, creates a venue to share best practices, and enables them to build better relationship s with local communities.
